first aid classes

Youth Mental Health First Aid will be taught on Saturday, March 10, in English and in Spanish at Logan High School. Youth Mental Health First Aid is an eight-hour class that teaches adults how to recognize the signs of mental health problems in young people and the skills to respond effectively.

Skills taught in the class will be helpful whether the youth is in either a non-crisis or crisis situations, including when a young person might be thinking about suicide.

This class is being sponsored by Logan Regional Hospital USU Extension — Davis County and will be offered at no cost to participants.

The topics covered in Mental Health First Aid include anxiety, depression, psychosis and addictions.
