Roland Anderson, who was born in 1921, will be celebrating his 97th birthday on August 2nd. Alice Nuffer Anderson, from Dayton, Idaho, will be celebrating her 95th birthday on November 14th. They will also be celebrating their 75th anniversary on July 31st.

A family party will be held in August to honor these milestones.

Roland is a well known builder in Cache Valley and has been a prominent figure in the community of Richmond all his life. He had three Andy’s Drive Inn’s located in Lewiston, Smithfield and Hyrum for several years. He also enjoyed raising flowers and vegetables in his greenhouses. He has made over 100,000 small wooden cars for the Humanitarian Effort. Besides home building, his wood craftsmanship has been apparent in making caskets, cherished grandfather clocks and other keepsakes. He currently gifts wooden pens that he made to those around him. Alice has enjoyed keeping a beautiful home and yard, oil painting and quilting over the years.

Roland and Alice together have been Temple Officiators, loved traveling and staying busy in their beautiful yard and home.

They have three children: Brent (deceased)(Judy Greene); Ronda (Alan) Strong; and Rodney (Juliann). Roland and Alice have 10 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren (one more on the way) and two great-great-grandchildren (one more on the way).
