We are so excited, and so blessed, to celebrate the 65th Wedding Anniversary of Douglas and Charlene Orahood, this Nov. 23, 2021. The couple first met at a church dance, but did not start dating until high school. After high school, while Douglas attended college and Charlene worked at Harts Department Store, their love grew and they finally said “I Do!” They honeymooned for one night in San Francisco, and with just $17 to spend, they toasted their future with a bottle of 7up. For the next 25 years they grew their family, adding four daughters, and traveled across the United States as a Navy family. Their travels took them to Seoul, Korea, for two years, and the beaches of Midway Island for two more. Through the years weddings have brought them sons-in-law, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. We may not be a big family, but we have big fun when we get together, and more love than our hearts can hold. Happy 65th Anniversary Mom and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa! Love you always, Pam, Holly, Peggy and Lloyd; grandchildren Dianna and Matt, Laura and Donnie, Lisa and Shane, and Andrew; and great-granddaughters Jillian, McKenna, Addison, and Emery.
