Douglas Sorenson and Printha Johnson Sorenson recently celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary. They met while in junior high and graduated from North Cache High School in 1957. They liked each other enough that Printha waited while Doug served in the U.S. Navy. They were married in the Logan Temple on February 14, 1964.

They are the parents of seven children, and have sixteen grandchildren. For the past forty-five years, they have resided in North Logan. Doug spent most of his career with Intermountain Health Care as a bio-medical engineer at Logan Regional Hospital. Printha chose to forgo a successful career and be a stay-at-home mom. We didn’t know it as children, but now realize this was Mom’s greatest gift to us. Family was always a priority, and some of our favorite memories include the numerous trips to General Conference, Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm, Tony Grove and Yellowstone National Park.

Doug and Printha keep busy with church callings, spoiling their grand kids, disappearing on trips without telling anyone where they are going and learning how to use their recently-acquired iPhones. We, their children, are grateful for their example of hard work, service, honesty and perseverance.

Happy Anniversary, Mom and Dad! We look forward to celebrating your 80th birthdays in the spring!

Love – Tad, Doxie, Tyler, Travis, Tonya, Jared and Justin.
