Maurien Humphreys Baxter Tueller celebrated her 90th birthday on June 14th.

Maurine was born in the small town of Parker, Idaho on her father’s 42nd birthday. She was the ninth child of Willis Ray Humphreys and Ethel Clair Miller. She was born at home. Maruine attended grade school at Parker until the eighth grade she then went to High School in St. Anthony where she graduated in 1946.

She worked in Holmes Drug store where she met her husband to be, Gene Baxter, he had just been discharged from the U.S. Navy. They were married in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on October 17, 1947. They raised five children together: Brenda, Brent, Diana, David and Thayne.

The family lived in Ashton, Idaho for three years. Then moved to Malta, Idaho where Gene worked for Raft River Electric as bookkeeper and office manager. They lived in Malta for 34 years, when Gene passed away in 1996. Maurine lived in Malta for three more years, when she met a special man, Mack Tueller. They were married on October 8th 1999. They live in Smithfield, Utah and have 13 children between them, 35 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren and are expecting two more.

Maurine has always been active in the LDS church. Holding many positions in the church. She was Relief Society President for three years and First Counselor to five different presidents in the Relief Society. Maurine has been a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers for 26 years.

Maurine will be getting together with her family to celebrate her birthday.
