Dick and Joyce Wells will soon celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary. They were married in the Salt Lake Temple on May 15, 1959.

Dick and Joyce met in the 10th grade and were high school sweethearts. They graduated from Bountiful High School then married. Dick would continue his education and graduate from Weber State University in Accounting and start his career for IRS in Ogden. They would make their home in many places, including California, Maryland, Montana, Centerville and Wellsville. In Wellsville, Joyce enjoyed many years teaching preschool in her home while caring for her family.

In retirement, they have spent time serving for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Singapore, Vladivostock, Russia, Fiji and in the Logan mission. They have been blessed with many lasting and lifelong friendships from this sen/ice and they now enjoy serving in the temple weekly.

Joyce enjoys sewing, time with her family and spending time with friends in DUP, Literary and book clubs. Dick loves tinkering with his Model T, being a “Hobby” farmer and spending time in St. George during the winter months.

They are the parents of six amazing children: Carolyn (Ron) Smith of South Jordan; Brenda (Karl) Bloxham of Roy; Norman (Teresa) Wells and Scott (Amy) Wells of Wellsville; Carrie (Eric) Roy of Riverton; and Sarah (Matthew) Egnew of Bountiful. They have 27 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

They credit their many years together to enjoying time with family, playing and working together and having a joint commitment to each other and to service in the church.

We think we have some pretty neat folks and want to wish them many more years together.

We love you!
