Fifth years ago, on Jan. 12, 1968, Linda Klippert and Kenneth B. Hansen were married in the Logan LDS Temple. That was a day to remember in more ways than one.

Ken grew up in Cub River and graduated from Preston High School. He spent two-and-a-half years serving an LDS mission Denmark, and, upon returning home, went to Idaho State University in Pocatello.

Linda lived in Preston and graduated from Preston High School. She attended Ricks College before their marriage.

They spent one year in Pocatello while Ken went to ISU and Linda worked for the registrar’s office at the university. Kent then found in employment in Kemmerer, Wyoming, and the couple’s first three children were born while living there.

Ken worked for Utah Power & Light for 36 years. He transferred to Soda Springs for one year — their first son was born there — before transferring to Preston.

The couple moved to the Cub River area and bought the house Ken grew up in, and three more children were born into the Hansen family.

Ken and Linda have seven children in all: Julie (Karl) Ostler, Michelle (Kenny) Inglet, Brenda (Dick) Nielsen, Russell (Katrina) Hansen, Curtis Hansen, Bruce (Cassi) Hansen and Heather (Andrew) Cook. They have 21 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The Hansens have had many callings in the church, They enjoy attending the temple and spending time with children and grandchildren, and friends and neighbors.
