Darrell and Charlene Johnson of Logan, Utah, will celebrate their 50th anniversary on May 10, 2018. They were married in the Logan LDS Temple on May 10, 1968.
They have four children: Darren (Jeanette), Santaquin, Utah; Amy (Darin), Ammon, Idaho; Jana (Luke), Layton, Utah; and Todd (Kassi), Murray, Utah. They have 13 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Darrell spent most of his career working for Logan City and retired after nearly 36 years of dedicated service. He has served faithfully in many LDS callings, including Bishopric, Branch Presidency Counselor, Elders Quorum President, and High Priest Group Leader.
Charlene had many jobs but her favorite was working in the dental field as a dental assistant. As an active member of the LDS church, Charlene enjoyed serving as a leader in both the Young Women and Primary Organizations.
Darrell and Charlene loved spending time with friends and family throughout their early years together. Trips to Disneyland and San Francisco were some of their highlights. Darrell’s hobbies include fishing, puzzles and working outdoors. Despite the challenges associated with multiple sclerosis, Charlene manages to keep a smile on her face and remain positive. Daily journal writing, crafting and socializing are a few of her favorite things to do at Williamsburg — her residence of the last 9 years.
An open house will be held in their honor on May 12, 2018, at the Williamsburg Assisted Living Facility, located at 132 West 300 North in Logan from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. All are invited to attend and join in their celebration.
Darrell and Charlene’s children would like to express their love and wish their parents a happy 50th anniversary with many more memorable years ahead.
