The American Legion, LaVoy Thornock Post 40 and The American Legion Auxiliary, LaVoy Thornock Unit 40 presented the Memorial Day Program at the Cokeville Cemetery on Monday, May 27. Although it was rainy and cold, many gathered for this wonderful, annual event. Auxiliary President, Gwen Petersen welcomed those in attendance. John Reed III gave the invocation.Boy Scout Troop 600 presented the Colors and led The Pledge of Allegiance.
David Vierig gave a beautiful violin solo of â"Danny Boy". He wasfollowed by a moving Memorial Tribute by Norman Freeman. Kiana Gillmore shared a wonderful rendition of "America the Beautiful" in a vocalsolo while accompanying herself on the guitar. Kanyon Luthi placed thewreath followed by a moment of silence. Angie Boyer then sang a vocal solo followed by the benediction given by Carolyn Alder. Taps were played by David Vierig. Thanks to everyone who willingly participated and all who were in attendance.
