Letter to the Editor,
I was so looking forward to my summer's weeklong stay in our beautiful valley. What a disappointment, however, to see the flag that was flying at the residence along Hwy 89 between Ovid and Montpelier. It clearly displayed a four letter expletive that I, and I am sure, many of the members of our community find offensive. I called the Sherriff's office but was told nothing could be done since the flag was flying on private property. What about, however, my own personal view of the beautiful Bear River Range that was disrupted by this flag? Doesn't this flag qualify as a public nuisance? I am certain that it does not reflect the Bear Lake Community's standards.
