A woman who failed to navigate a bend in the road and crashed into Hyrum Dam Friday night has been arrested on suspicion of drunk driving, according to the Cache County Sheriff’s Office.

Laycee Dillon, 22, was traveling westbound on the west side of Hyrum Dam at 7:30 p.m. when she left the roadway and landed in the reservoir.

Dillon, who was traveling alone, was able to get herself out of the vehicle. She was transported to Logan Regional hospital as a precaution, and upon her release she was booked into the Cache County Jail, said Sheriff Chad Jensen.
