One person was apparently stabbed during an altercation at Willow Park on Wednesday evening, according to Logan Police.

Officers responded to a reported dispute involving several individuals "punching and kicking each other" at about 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to a Logan City Police Department statement.

At the scene, police found a "juvenile male" with abdomen injuries. He was transported to Logan Regional Hospital and treated for what are now believed to be stab wounds, although it was originally reported to dispatch that someone had been shot.

Witnesses told police that the person who'd caused the injuries had gotten in a car and sped off. An officer located the car witnesses described, LCPD states, near 1000 West and 600 South. The single occupant, an adult male, was taken into custody and was being interviewed as of about 9 p.m. Wednesday.

The investigation is ongoing, including officers and detectives processing the scene of the injury, interviewing witnesses and executing a search warrant on the suspect's car.
