Police say a Logan man with whom they are well acquainted with was transported to a local hospital early Saturday evening with an abdominal knife wound — they just can’t be sure how it happened.

Police Chief Gary Jensen said there appears to have been a dispute at a residence in Logan’s Island neighborhood, and the male left the residence and walked to a nearby church on Center Street, where he apparently collapsed.

Jensen said investigators received conflicting reports, making it difficult to determine if the man had been stabbed or if the wound was actually self-inflicted.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made at this time.
