Erick Durrant of Cove, 19, has been charged in 1st District Court with sodomy on a child, a first-degree felony, and enticing a minor by internet or text, a second-degree felony. Prosecutors offered a negotiated settlement in Durrant’s case this week, and he asked for additional time to consider his options. A pretrial conference is scheduled for July 8.

David Chase Jackson of Logan, 25, pleaded guilty in April to two counts of attempted sexual abuse of a child, each a third-degree felony. He was scheduled to appear in 1st District Court for sentencing on July 1. Jackson failed to complete a presentence investigation. Sentencing has been rescheduled to July 29.

Roger A. Willeto of Logan, 74, has been charged in 1st District Court with aggravated sexual abuse of a child and rape of a child, both first-degree felony offenses that allegedly occurred in 2012. Willeto was previously convicted of child sex abuse in 2008. A competency hearing in his case has been set for July 17 at 10 a.m.

Aaron Robison of Logan, 32, has been charged in 1st District Court with forcible sexual abuse, sexual abuse of a child and sodomy of a child. His attorney has requested a preliminary hearing in all matters, which has been scheduled for August 7 at 9 a.m.

Daniel Stapley of Smithfield, 45, has been charged in 1st District Court with sexual abuse of a child and seven counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. His attorney is challenging the use of evidence obtained from Stapley’s phone and has requested an evidentiary hearing, which is currently scheduled for July 29.
