Next week, the Logan Library is hosting a free square-foot gardening class with Jim Teahan.

The class will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday in the library’s Lake Bonneville Room, 255 N. Main St., Logan. The course will build on the basics of square-foot gardening and provide information for advanced techniques for the system.

Teahan was trained and interned with Mel Bartholomew, inventor of the square-foot gardening system. He’s been a certified instructor for 16 years, has taught all over the Intermountain West, and has written two eBooks, including "The Wealthy Earth: My Success with the Square Foot Garden."
