Olaf Jensen 06/04/1955 - 06/24/2019 Olaf Jensen passed away June 24, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Olaf was born June 4, 1955, in Duisburg, Germany, to Otto and Urte Marie Jensen. He is survived by his wife Kathy Hervey, his older brother Uwe Jensen, and two daughters Margaret (Maggie) Jensen and Erika (Riki) Jensen. Olaf was a truly great man, that lit up every room he entered. We can all remember striking moments of Olaf, and how he touched each and every one of our lives. He was a kind and gentle soul, whose smile and easy-going attitude always brought laughter and joy wherever he went. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force . He worked as a weatherization specialist for the Bear River Association of Governments (BRAG) for twenty-six years. Retiring as a supervisor, he began his quest of enjoying life through playing guitar, traveling, playing golf, and spending time with the people he loved most. Olaf was a devoted son, brother, husband, and father. He loved his two daughters Erika and Maggie immensely. Like Olaf, these girls are stubborn, brilliant, and kind. While he did well in his career, for a lot of us, we still think of Olaf as a Jersey boy with a guitar and a free spirit. Olaf was an accomplished musician and vocalist, even though he thought his own singing voice was terrible. He loved playing and collecting uniquely beautiful sounding guitars. He was immensely talented, and many of his bands were openers for other professional bands. His musical ability, and positive attitude really set him apart from other players. His friends and band mates will miss his talent as well as his laughter. Olaf will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Farewell Olaf, until we all meet again. The family would like to have a casual gathering celebrating the life and memory of Olaf. The gathering will be held at Olaf and Kathy's residence 829 W. 2200 South, Logan, on Saturday June 29th from 11 a.m - 5 p.m. All friends and family are welcome.
