To the editor:
Please accept our deepest gratitude for the outpouring of support you have shown the family of TSgt. Max Lower as we celebrated his 76-year delayed return to Lewiston following his death during an WWII air raid. We have been overwhelmed by your acts of kindness and respect. We know that in doing so, you are also honoring all those who serve in our great military, the freedoms for which they fight, and the great country we know the United States to be.
