To the editor:
Thank you so much for the recent article written by Chad Hawkes, “Views from the Hawkes Nest: ‘Old Blue’ was a part of the family like no other vehicle.”
From reading this article I agree that we tend to do this not wanting to let go of animals or photos and also objects. I tend to do that when my mom tells me to get rid of things at the end of the summer because we need more room for all the junk that you don’t want to get rid of it. Since we value those things much and had good times with them, we say we don’t want to get rid of them.
Just like his pickup truck, he didn’t want to get rid of those things because they feel like family. I really like reading Mr. Hawkes’ articles and I would like to hear more articles that he wrote. I used to be in his class of 2017-2018 or 13th Rangers. He told good jokes and stories and he likes history. He was my favorite teacher ever.
