Last week Cache Valley experienced one of the largest windstorms I can remember. The winds on Hollow Road in Nibley knocked down many of the trees on our property. At 3:00 a.m. on Thursday I awoke to a house with no electricity. Looking out of our windows, the only lights I saw were at the end of our lane where there is a power pole. I realized that in the pounding rain and hurricane-force winds the workers with Rocky Mountain Power were working to restore power to the homes in our area. When we awoke in the morning, the lights were back on! A shout out to these employees who at times risk their lives to keep our homes warm and connected. Let's not take them for granted.
