The Lady Indians faced their first district opponent on Sept. 16, in Pocatello (score not available at press time) and travel to Century today, Sept. 15, for a game at 6 p.m. They host Sugar-Salem on Saturday, Sept. 18, at 12 p.m. and are in Highland on Monday, Sept. 20, to play at 4 p.m.
Preston was scheduled to host Skyline on Sept. 9, but the game was canceled. They played Highland at home on Sept. 8, and ended up losing 0-4. The Rams scored twice in the first half and twice in the second with the final goal being a penalty kick.
“We had some good moments especially in the first half,” said Coach Brandon Lyon. “We had a really good 15-20 minute stretch in the first half where we had them pinned back and were getting good pressure and creating chances. But we got in too many ruts where we were too content sitting back and defending instead of pressuring and attacking. The first three goals were just them being more aggressive on 50-50 balls around the box.”
The Indians defeated Bonneville 3-2 on Sept. 2, and shut out Sugar-Salem 2-0 on Aug. 31, after losing to Skyline 2-4 on Aug. 28.
