For the second time in the past four days, a Timpview High School senior has pledged his commitment to Utah State’s football program.

Offensive guard Sonny Makasini announced his decision Tuesday on Twitter. The 6-foot-3, 315-pounder was in Logan on a visit with the Aggies last weekend.

“Couldn’t have done it without the people in my life,” Makasini posted. “I am officially committed Utah State University. Can’t wait to be an Aggie.”

Makasini, a 3-star recruit according to 247sports.com, tweeted out he received an offer from the Aggies on Jan. 6. Makasini also had offers from a handful of smaller, four-year programs, plus he was drawing interest from BYU as he went on an official visit with the Cougars last week.

Kaleo Neves, Makasini’s teammate at Timpview, committed to the Aggies last Saturday. Neves was an outside linebacker/defensive end for the Thunderbirds.
