A bicyclist is fighting for his life at a Utah hospital after being struck by a vehicle in a hit and run crash south of Preston, Idaho State Police said.
The incident at South State Street and East 4800 South was reported around 9 p.m. Sunday.
The adult male bicyclist suffered severe injuries in the collision and is currently receiving treatment at a Utah hospital where he is listed in critical condition, authorities said. His name has not been released.
Police are searching for the driver of the vehicle that struck the bicyclist and then reportedly drove from the scene. No description of the vehicle has yet been provided.
Authorities are asking for anyone with any information about the incident to contact state police at (208) 239-9808 or the Franklin County Sheriff's Office at (208) 852-1234 ext. 2.
The collision remains under investigation by state police.
