An outbreak of COVID-19 has caused a Utah high school to cancel classes and extracurricular activities for a week.

Grand County School District announced on its website Saturday that 10 staff members and eight students had tested positive for the coronavirus. Due to that, classes and after-school activities on and off campus — including athletics — will be canceled Tuesday through Friday. Monday is Labor Day.

“We are unable to provide substitutes for this many staff members,” the district said.

Classes at the high school will resume Sept. 13. Custodians will deep-clean the high school in the meantime, the school district said.
