Law enforcement authorities are investigating an accident in which a Fielding man died in a single-car rollover early Thursday morning about two miles south of Plymouth.

Just after 6 a.m. on March 4, a man driving a 2015 black Honda Accord was traveling southbound on SR 13 when, according to the Utah Highway Patrol, he drove off the roadway to the right near mile marker 29, just north of where the road crosses the Malad River.

The driver overcorrected in an effort to regain control. The car then spun out of control, crossed the northbound lane, went off the road and rolled multiple times.

The driver, who UHP identified as 25-year-old Kyle A. Christiansen of Fielding, was ejected from the car and died on the scene from his injuries. There was no one else in the car with Christiansen.

A UHP press release said drug and alcohol impairment are being investigated as a contributing factor to the crash.
