Jay and Judy Sandall will be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. They were married on Jan. 31, 1959 in Plymouth, Utah. Their vows were solemnized in the Logan Temple in 1973.

They are the parents of four children, 19 children and 19 great grandchildren, with one more on the way! Their children are Blake (Teresa), Tremonton; Tori (Matt) Rhodes, Wellington, Colorado; Demar (Melanie), Tremonton; and Sharsti (Caleb) Wilkinson, Seattle, Washington.

They have lived their entire married life in Tremonton except for two and a half years in which they lived in Park Valley, where Jay helped his father, Harold Sandall, run his cattle ranch and also worked some road construction. They moved back to Tremonton when Blake started school.

Jay retired from Thiokol in 1997 after 34 years of service, of which the last 10 years he served as the fire chief. Judy owned and operated the Classic Shop on Main Street for 15 years! After selling the Classic Shop, they loaded up their travel trailer and left town. They traveled from one place to another, playing golf at each stop and meeting new friends.

Now they spend their time with the most important thing in their lives, which is their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In fact, the big “celebration” will be in April when the entire (we hope) family will meet in St. George for a get-together for some fun activities and visiting!
